Hey,

I arrived now in Aviles, a city in Asturias (state in Northern Spain). I stay at Hector´s place who is Spain´s CouchSurfing ambassador. I had unbelievable nice days with him and all his friends in town enjoying tandem tricycle rides, the city life, doing interviews for newspapers, etc.

Instead of talking about the cultural life in Aviles see the pictures made by Hector (Hobby photographer). These are more than thousand words.

Videos: Enjoying Wales

Actually I crossed Wales only by accident. I had to take the ferry from Wales to Ireland. What for an amazing time in Wales! What a pity that I had not more time to enjoy the beautiful countryside. The videos below are not as beautiful as Wales looks like …

As advice for your cycling trip (overseas):
Please always check in advance if your ferry takes also bicycles! I realised big troubles now in Liverpool and in Holyhead. As reason, they mention it would be too dangerous crossing the ramp with a bike (Yes, I know it is stupid, but you cannot do anything. I realised it in Holyhead when I tried to explain to the first ferry operator`s sales person that I have no choice. Lucky me, that there was a second ferry operator …)
