JunOfficial Berlin-Hanoi Welcome in Bad Bentheim on the 27th of June 2009
Jun

Hello hello,
I am happy to announce an official Berlin-Hanoi celebration in Bad Bentheim (on the border to Netherlands). The city are going to organise a big Welcome for me when I will arrive there on the 27th of June 2009.
I am in contact with Johann Bardenhorst, head of a youth club in Bad Bentheim “Jugendhaus Bad Bentheim”. He has been managing this event with the city including the Mayor of Bad Bentheim, press and live music. Martin Liening has written a Blues song for our project “Berlin-Hanoi-Blues”. He will sing this song live on this day. In addition, Martin Liening will present a photo gallery of other Long Distance Bikers who had been crossing Bad Bentheim before. These are pictures of the last 50 years! Last but not least, I will do a presentation of my project including my (m)adventures the last half a year.
Oh, I am looking forward to this great celebration! For sure, that I recommend everybody to come, but I understand that’s difficult ;o)
If you are interested in the lyrics of our new project song “Berlin-Hanoi Blues”, read the rest of this entry …

I found an interesting blog post by F. William Engdahl, reporter writing for the Centre for Research on Globalisation: “Next Wave of Banking Crisis to come from Eastern Europe”. He goes along with my results of the Eastern European survey. The US financial crisis might be a kind of trigger for the crisis in Eastern Europe.
“…the new concerns over bank exposures to eastern Europe will define the next wave of the global financial crisis, one they believe could be even more devastating than the US sub-prime securitization collapse which triggered the entire crisis of confidence. ”
In fact, he refers to a different problematic to the current economic downturn in Eastern Europe. Another root cause might be the loan allocation of West European banks to Eastern European citizens. Read more

Apr“Worst economic collapse ever”

This video shows an interview with Gerald Celente, a well-known trend forecaster, presenting his economic forecast.
“Worst economic collapse ever”
This interview is already three months old (20-Jan-2009). Anyway his revealings go along with my opinion and the opinions of many of my interviewees in the Baltic States expecting an ongoing economic downturn having a worse impact than the Great Depression in 1929. (My Survey results)
